Iga did not let this defeat get in the way of her quest for glory, as she went on to win her eighth title of the season the following week in San Diego. Including her encounters in the Masters (which we will mention later), she notched up a total 68 victories for just 8 losses this season, disseminating 22 “bagels” along the way, second only to Serena William’s record of 25 in 2013. Astounding!
