In the end, it was against Ajla Tomljanovic that Serena played the last match of her incredible career, after 27 years at the top level, 23 Grand Slam singles titles, 73 titles on the tour and 319 weeks spent at the top of the WTA rankings. A fitting send-off for this tennis legend!
