A few days after the new king of the ATP was crowned, Roger Federer announced his retirement on social media. World No.1 for 310 weeks, winner of 20 Grand Slam tournaments and 1,251 matches over the course of his career, the Swiss legend was treated to a fitting farewell at the Laver Cup at the end of September.
