A revenge match for their final in Madrid, the clash between Alexander Zverev and Carlos Alcaraz certainly lived up to expectations. Though the Spaniard took a while to get into the match, the two champions then reached a stratospheric level of tennis, combining power with precision. The match finally culminated in a four-set victory by the German (6-4 6-4 4-6 7-6(7) in 3 hrs 18 min), who once again reached the semi-finals.
