An announcement has been made regarding attendance figures at Roland-Garros

Following the announcements made by government authorities, 1,000 spectators will be permitted to enter the Roland-Garros grounds per day. This cap applies across all 16 courts, in the 12-hectare site, and is equivalent to one thirty-fifth of the usual number of spectators that have attended in the first week of the main draw in previous years.

For the ticket holders

From the very outset of the public health crisis that our country is experiencing, the French Tennis Federation has consistently worked closely with government departments, to determine how to organize the tournament in the current situation.  It deeply regrets these new restrictions.

On Sunday 27 September, the world’s greatest players will compete in the main draw, in a transformed stadium, in a tournament broadcast in 222 countries around the world.

The new rules mean that we will be required to adapt our ticketing situation, by organizing a draw for each day of the tournament among the current ticket-holders. These draws will be supervised by a legal custodian.

France's sporting heritage

The spectators concerned will be contacted by email this afternoon. Those who are not fortunate enough to have been drawn will have their tickets deactivated and will be fully reimbursed. They will have priority access to tickets before they go on sale to the general public for Roland-Garros 2021. The FFT’s customer service is committed to ensuring that these changes happen as smoothly as possible.

The FFT shares in the disappointment felt by those who are now not going to be able to enter the grounds, due to the capped number of spectators. The FFT would like to thank those fans for the support they have shown and their loyalty to Roland-Garros.

Roland-Garros is an extremely international tournament. It plays a key role in France’s sporting heritage, as well as boosting France’s international reputation.
