Halep hauls herself past Riske

Halep, twice a Roland-Garros finalist, is nothing if not a fighter, though. Maybe taking out her anger on her racquet did serve to galvanise her as she finally got a game on the board after 31 minutes, but Riske would not be denied, again applying the pressure to take the first set in 39 minutes.
