Bullring brilliance: Goffin, Nishikori advance
Today’s encounter at the Bullring was Nishikori’s first Grand Slam contest since Wimbledon last summer. The Japanese star was absent from the US Open and then Australian Open 2018 due to a wrist injury which curtailed his 2017 campaign. “I'm feeling almost perfect,” stated the 19th seed, who reached the Monte-Carlo final on the red dirt. “I think I had a good preparation, and I had a good couple matches before coming here. So I'm feeling great body-wise, and also tennis-wise, too.”
