6 – Second seed Rafael Nadal went on a tear at the business end of his second-round match with Yannick Maden. The 11-time champion ramped up his intensity to strike six winners in the final two games of the match, nearly a third of his winners for the 10-game set. 11 – Last year’s finalist and No.7 seed Sloane Stephens has won a season-leading 11 tie-breaks following her second-round victory over Sara Sorribes Tormo. The American needed a tie-break to win the second set in each of her first two matches. She meets Slovenian Polona Hercog next.

11 – Czech second seed Karolina Pliskova’s net points won across two matches, the highest on the Infosys Slam Leaderboard. Her third-round opponent, Petra Martic, by comparison has only won five at net.

20 – The number of years since a Ruud featured in the third round at a Grand Slam. Norway’s Christan Ruud reached the last 32 at Roland-Garros in 1999 – the same tournament Roger Federer made his slam debut – while his son Casper has done so in Paris this year. Ruud Jnr meets Federer for a place in the third round on Friday.

26 – The number of receiving points Belgian David Goffin won in his first two matches, placing him first for the statistic on the Infosys Slam Leaderboard. His third-round opponent, No.2 seed Nadal, is third for receiving points won, behind Pablo Carreno Busta.

41 – Number of match wins Stan Wawrinka will notch at Roland-Garros should he beat Grigor Dimitrov in the third round. It would make this his most successful slam in terms of matches won, ahead of his 40 wins at the US Open.

273 – Minutes Benoit Paire required on court to take down compatriot Pierre-Hugues Herbert in the second round. He will meet Spain’s Carreno Busta for a place in the fourth round at his home Grand Slam for the first time.
