World No.1 Iga Swiatek arrives at Roland-Garros riding an incredible 28-match winning streak that started in Doha last February.

This is the longest unbeaten run on the WTA tour since Serena Williams won 34 matches in a row in 2013, and should Swiatek pick up a second Roland-Garros title this upcoming fortnight, she would equal Venus Williams' streak of 35 consecutive victories from the year 2000.

Here's a deep dive into Swiatek's run coming into Paris.

Titles galore

Swiatek's winning streak saw her capture five consecutive titles - Doha, Indian Wells, Miami, Stuttgart and most recently Rome.

The 20-year-old is just the second player to win four WTA 1000 trophies in one season, behind Serena Williams, who achieved that feat in 2013.

She is just the fourth player on the women's tour to win five titles in a row, after Venus Williams in 2000, Justine Henin in 2007-2008 and Serena Williams in 2013.

Dominant scorelines

In her current winning streak, Swiatek has dropped just five sets across all 28 matches.

This run also includes 12 bagel sets (6-0) delivered by the Pole, and 10 sets won by a 6-1 scoreline.

In her five finals contested since February, Swiatek lost an average 3.8 games per match.

The maximum number of games she has lost in any of her last five finals is five, against Maria Sakkari in the Miami championship match.

Swiatek has won 42 of her last 43 sets.

Tough opposition

Swiatek hasn't just been winning matches, she's been dominating them against top-tier opponents.

Of the 28 matches she has won in a row, 21 of them were against top-50 rivals.

She earned 11 top-20 victories in this stretch, and seven wins against top-10 opposition.

The average ranking of her opponents during this period is 53.9.

Strong on return

While it's evident Swiatek has been solid on serve, given she has barely dropped any sets in recent months, it's her return game that has also helped her accumulate all these victories.

In her last 28 matches, Swiatek has won more than half of her return points - 54.2% to be exact.

Across the whole 2022 season (through 38 matches), she has won 76.2% of her service games, and 55.3% of her return games.
