Danielle Collins defied expectations to make her first Grand Slam final on the back of some aggressive and determinedly resilient tennis. After drawing on her mental strength to beat Elise Mertens and then powering past Alizé Cornet and Iga Swiatek, the American became the first player in the competition to truly test Ash Barty. At the end of her epic run, she found herself ranked in the top ten for the first time in her career.
