The “Roland-Garros Junior Wild Card Series by OPPO” begins in Mexico!

The 2020 edition is launched in Mexico on 3rd February. The operation will then continue in India, China and Brazil.

This competition, which is sponsored by the leading global smart device brand, OPPO, invites the best young girl and boy players from these four countries to play one another in clay-court tournaments, some of which are hosted in Roland Garros-certified clubs.

The winners from each nation then come together in Paris to try and win a wildcard for the main draw of the junior singles tournament at Roland Garros.

India, China and Brazil next


Mexico has the honour of hosting the “Roland-Garros Junior Wild Card Series by OPPO” for the very first time.

The qualifying rounds of the Mexican leg of the competition will be held in Mexico City (3rd to 9th February), Guadalajara (10th to 16th February), Monterrey (13th to 22nd March) and San Luis Potosi (23rd to 29th March). The finals will be held from 2nd to 5th April, in Mexico City.

The competition will then head to New Delhi in India (from 24th February to 1st March), Changsha in China (from 9th to 15th March) and Itajaí in Brazil (from 15th to 19th April).

Roland-Garros tournament's development strategy


The final of the “Roland-Garros Junior Wild Card Series by OPPO” will be played during Roland Garros Kids’ Day, on Saturday 23rd May 2020.

The winners of this circuit (boys and girls) will be awarded a wildcard for the main draw of the Roland Garros Junior tournament, which will be played from Sunday 31st May to Saturday 6th June.

The “Roland-Garros Junior Wild Card Series by OPPO” ties in with the Roland Garros tournament’s international development strategy.
