2026 poster – JR: ‘Recognising Roland-Garros at first glance’

JR, a French artist internationally renowned for his monumental artworks and installations as well as his documentaries, shares his thoughts on creating the 47th tournament poster. A sports enthusiast, and a particular fan of Roland-Garros, the man behind the hat and dark glasses opened the doors to his studio to explain the various stages involved in designing his work, which is the fruit of a meeting between the red clay and his own unique artistic vision.
