His progression was temporarily halted by a persistent back injury sustained during the 2025 edition of Roland‑Garros, sidelining him for several months. Yet upon his return, Arthur Fils displayed remarkable resilience, quickly rediscovering his level and reaffirming his position among the elite. In 2026, he followed that comeback with a run to the final in Doha, a semi‑final appearance in Miami, a title at the ATP 500 in Barcelona and a spot in the last four of the Madrid Masters.
