Starting yesterday and up until Sunday 7th June – the original tournament dates – we are inviting you to get into the Roland-Garros spirit. Before we dive back into some of the tournament’s most legendary matches, this week we wanted to give you a quick reminder of what happened at last year’s tournament.

Ahead of the start of the tournament, the 2018 runner-up Dominic Thiem spoke candidly about Roland-Garros, Rafael Nadal and even his unconditional love for the clay surface. "From when I was around 9 or 10, I played on clay all year round. Sometimes it was outdoors, sometimes indoors, but always on clay. So it really is my most natural playing surface. I move around well on it; I know how to put my opponent under pressure… That’s why I like it so much. It feels good,” he said.

Come back tomorrow to relive the 2019 final between Dominic Thiem and Rafael Nadal.
