Claiming his 21st Grand Slam title after a remarkable comeback, Rafael Nadal has received a plethora of congratulatory messages.

Yesterday, all avid tennis fans tuned into the action in Melbourne to witness one of the greatest finals of all time between Rafael Nadal and Daniil Medvedev. This outstanding battle lasted 5 hours and 24 minutes, after which the Majorcan was crowned champion of the Australian Open for the second time, his 21st Grand Slam victory. This all-time record for a male player was unanimously applauded, even outside the realm of tennis.

Federer, first in line

The Spaniard’s long-term rival Roger Federer wasted no time in congratulating his friend on Instagram.

This historic achievement was also applauded by Rafa’s other on-court nemesis, Novak Djokovic.

Having been away from competition for several months, Dominic Thiem hopes to meet the Spaniard on court very soon.

Semifinalist in 2022, Stefanos Tsitsipas did not miss a second of the final.

Marin Cilic congratulated both players for their match, with a special comment for the winner.
