J.M Weston and the Roland-Garros brand are teaming up once again.

Weston x Roland-Garros

Never change a winning team! After the success of their collaboration in 2017, J.M Weston and the Roland-Garros brand are teaming up once again, with the only sneakers our feet will need – or want – this spring.

We had been waiting with bated breath to see what the famous French shoe experts would come up with this year for their second consecutive joint venture with the Roland-Garros brand.

After last year’s soft moccasins – an iconic feature of the luxury manufacturer’s range – J.M Weston has knocked our socks off once again with two exclusive pairs of sneakers that encapsulate the spirit of tennis. Sport these and we guarantee that you will be on point down to the very tips of your toes throughout the fortnight.

Sneakers – the ultimate accessory

A must in any urban wardrobe, sneakers are the ideal form of expression to mix the codes. Sneakermania has already crossed over into the realm of the racquets, with plenty of top stars wearing their tennis shoes on and particularly off court. They are the perfect way to top off any look, making sports-chic more up-to-date than ever.

The J.M Weston x RG sneakers are the fruit of a love story between sport and fashion, and will be the ultimate accessory in our wardrobe this season.

The fine art of tanning

From the very outset, J.M Weston has always stood by traditional values and had the soles of its shoes tanned by the Bastin tannery in the Limousin area of central France. They are the last active proponents of vegetable tanning in Europe, flying the flag for an age-old skill that embodies the timeless elegance found in French fashion.

This partnership with the RG brand enables Weston – a company that is French through and through – to maintain its tradition and underscore its long-held commitment to the Parisian fashionista community whilst at the same time taking a deep dive into the universe of streetwear. J.M Weston is "a name, an expertise and a spirit that is resolutely Parisian" but every inch on trend.

Two brands combine for two collectors’ editions

The J.M Weston x Roland-Garros sneakers have their roots in the Parisian heritage which both brands cherish, whilst still oozing street savvy. They pay homage to the French tradition of craftsmanship as well as the technique required by the sport of tennis.

Two limited edition collectors’ models will be available for men and women in a range of evocative colours: red ochre symbolising the clay of the courts, blue like the sky, and white – just like the lines on the courts.

The white version enjoys the contrast with the ochre sole which brings out the sharp lines of the shoe.

The blue version goes monochrome, underscored by ochre laces and stitching.

The quality of the smooth calf’s leather combines with the comfort of the rubber to provide a shoe to fall in love with.

The sport-inspired design of these sneakers means that they can be worn on the court or on the street, accessorising a sophisticated all-white ensemble or a rolled-up trouser with panache.

Chic, relaxed and original – what more could you want in a pair of shoes?

It’s official, the J.M Weston x Roland-Garros sneakers are the shoes of the season!

You can get your hands on this limited-edition footwear during the tournament at the Main Store in the stadium, but they are already available at the Roland-Garros and J.M Weston e-stores as well as at all J.M Weston stores and corners.
