Rendez-Vous à Roland-Garros

Though Roland-Garros benefits from outstanding worldwide media coverage during the three weeks of competition, the Parisian Grand Slam and clay-court tennis are promoted all year round via the “Rendez-vous à Roland-Garros” platform, which groups together several events organised worldwide.

The “Clubs Roland-Garros” are the starting point for this operation. This certification is given to the world’s best clay-court tennis clubs that offer top-quality facilities, making them part of the “Roland-Garros” family.

Several events, some of which are held in “Clubs Roland-Garros”, are organised within the framework of this operation: the Roland-Garros Amateur Series, tournaments that are open to everyone and give participants the chance to win a trip to Paris and tickets to Roland-Garros; the Roland-Garros Junior Wild-Card Series, tournaments played in China, India and Brazil by the rising stars of world tennis, whose winners are awarded a wildcard for the junior draw; the Roland-Garros eSeries by BNP Paribas, an e-tennis tournament entered by ten different countries this year; and Roland-Garros Camps, clay-court tennis courses that are open to the general public.

The aim of “Rendez-Vous à Roland-Garros”, which is supported by prestigious ambassadors such as Gustavo Kuerten and Jin Dong (in China), is to encourage new countries to get involved, namely South America.
