Big Ben

Compete against the greatest players on clay in the Tennis World Tour - Roland-Garros Edition

A year after the release of the Tennis World Tour game, Bigben and Breakpoint studio are delighted to announce the release of this new edition that includes new content and a number of updates.

The Tennis World Tour - Roland-Garros Edition will be available from 16th May 2019 on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, Nintendo SwitchTM and PC.

Ever since the game was released in 2018, Breakpoint studio has worked tirelessly to offer players regular updates on Tennis World Tour, with one aim: to offer an optimised gaming experience. These updates have allowed them to produce an online mode, rework the gameplay and AI, and enrich the gaming experience thanks to a system that personalises the characters’ facial details as well as adding kinematics and animation.

With the Tennis World Tour - Roland-Garros Edition, the studio is offering new content and is bringing the gaming experience even closer to reality. New motion capture sessions have been carried out to provide the game with the realism that the clay-court game requires.

Collaborating with the FFT meant they could add official content, namely the RG tournament’s three show courts, which are depicted in the game as they will look after the stadium renovation is complete.

The Roland-Garros Edition is a complete game that includes:

  •  The Tennis World Tour game that was released in 2018, including the 12 updates carried out since May 2018
  •  1 new male player and 2 new female players
  •  The content from the Legends edition, which includes Andree Agassi and John McEnroe as players
  •  Roland Garros stadium’s new show courts: Philippe-Chatrier, Suzanne-Lenglen and Simonne-Mathieu
  •  The Mutua Madrid Open’s centre court, “La Caja Magica”
  •  Events available in career mode: the Mutua Madrid Open in May and a Roland-Garros event in June

The content of the Roland-Garros Edition will also be available to purchase separately by players who already have the Tennis World Tour game.

This year once again, the game’s online mode has been used in a major event. The Roland-Garros eSeries by BNP Paribas e-tennis tournament, which was played on a preview version of the new Tennis World Tour-Roland-Garros Edition, has stepped up a gear this year, with two new countries participating in the competition – the United States and Germany – and an exceptional cash prize of €10,000.

The qualifying rounds began in February, to select the best player from each nation to compete in the international grand final in France, at Roland Garros. To follow the tournament, visit the official website.
