We're just going to have a petit drinks breaks here at Blog HQ. Back soon!
There will be huge home hopes for Saint-Germain-en-Laye's Caroline Garcia as she begins her French Open quest. She's the No.31 seed here and has never gone beyond the second round before, but Garcia can raise her game when it counts - particularly when on Fed Cup duty for Les Bleus. Garcia faces Croatian teenager and world No.165 Donna Vekic in the first round.
Switzerland fans, make it a double celebration. Roger Federer joins Stan Wawrinka in the second round of RG15 as he completes a 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 victory over Colombian Alejandro Falla. The 2009 champ looks pretty pleased as he salutes the crowd and does a quick on-court interview - en francais of couse - saying he was happy not to be broken in his first match.
It's job done for Stan Wawrinka. The eighth seed wraps up a 6-3, 6-2, 6-3 victory against Turkey's Marsel Ilhan. The Swiss then goes over to the crowd to sign a few of those giant tennis balls (yes, we all want one) and then the TV cameras. C'est tout!
Meanwhile on Philippe Chatrier, Alejandro Falla is having a large bandage applied to his right thigh. He's 3-4 down in the third set against the Swiss second seed.
There was a chilled out feel to Le Sunday Start at Roland-Garros with fans enjoying the spring sunshine as they waited to enter the grounds this morning. Once inside the buzz began to build. Blog HQ heard more than one murmur of excitement about seeing Roger Federer play. Over on Court 3, the Czech fans were in good voice - we wouldn't expect anything less from the enthusiastic Czech contingent - to support Lukas Rosol as he edged past Swedish qualifier Elias Ymer.
Here at Blog HQ we are lucky enough to be able to have a Sunday stroll between the courts here at Roland-Garros but we need to up the pace so let's have a quick run round the courts for a score check...

Matt, Stan is looking pretty confident on Court 2 today. He's 6-3, 6-2 up against Turkey's Marsel Ihan as we type.
Roland-Garros.com reporter Matt Trollope: "Wawrinka should be surging in confidence after his strong week in Rome, where he beat Rafa en route to the quarters. And there's always the motivation to atone for last year's shock loss to Garcia-Lopez in the first round here."
There are no problems for Roger Federer so far. He's taken the second set from Alejandro Falla in 35 minutes. Can he close it out in three?
There was disappointment for big-serving Russian Mikhail Youzhny on Court 6. The former French Open quarter-finalist had to retire from his match against Bosnia and Herzegovina's Damir Dzumhur because of back pain. Dzumhur was 6-2, 6-1 up before Youzhny called it a day on the clay.
Garbine Muguruza is back on the Roland-Garros clay after her sizzling run to the quarter-finals in 2014. Muguruza created a major upset in the second round last year when she beat Serena Williams 62, 62 which was, incidentally, the American's heaviest defeat in 17 years playing the Grand Slam game. The Spanish 21st seed takes on Croatian qualifier Petra Martic in the first round.
Stan Wawrinka is in full swing against Turkey's Marsel Ilhan on Suzanne-Lenglen. The Swiss eighth seed was a quarter-finalist here in 2013 and he's on his way on day one, taking the first set 6-3 and with a 2-0 lead in the second.
Federer fans. You might like to know that your man is making a solid start in his first match on the clay of Philippe Chatrier. He's taken the first set from Falla 6-3 and is a break up in the second.
Roland-Garros.com reporter Matt Trollope: "It's always interesting to see how Fed opens his Grand Slam campaigns these days in the twilight of his career. Will he be dialled in from the get go? How will he bounce back from his thorough loss to Djokovic in Rome? Will his game translate smoothly from the clay of Rome to the clay of Paris? Falla took him to five sets in the Wimbledon 2010 first round and is always dangerous, and has won nine of his past 13 matches. Federer will need to be sharp."

It all begins with Le Sunday Start and there are some big names on the clay today, including world No.2 and 2009 champion Roger Federer. The Swiss star is on court now against Colombian qualifier Alejandro Falla, the world No.111. On the women's side of the draw, third seed and 2014 runner-up Simona Halep successfully began her campaign against Russia's Evgeniya Rodina, we'll have more on that in a bit.
Over the next 15 days of competition we will find out which of the world's top tennis stars will have their day on clay. You don't need us to tell you that Rafael Nadal is aiming for an amazing 10th French Open, Serena Williams is going for a 20th Grand Slam title while Maria Sharapova is out to add to her 2012 and 2014 French crowns. But, as ever, there are no guarantees which of the 256 players will master the mercurial red stuff.
Bonjour tout le monde! It's day one of the 2015 French Open at Roland-Garros. Rafa's here. Maria's here. All we needed was you. Welcome to our Parisian party.
