Arantxa and Usain to present the trophies
Three-time women’s singles winner Arantxa Sanchez has been asked to present the Coupe Suzanne-Lenglen on Saturday to the winner of this year’s final between Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova. For the men’s singles, sprinter Usain Bolt – six-time Olympic gold medallist and five-time world champion – will be on hand alongside FFT president Jean Gachassin to present the Coupe des Mousquetaires.
Justine Henin is back
Former world No.1 and four-time French Open champion Justine Henin is back in Paris. She was spotted in the players’ lounge here pushing a stroller, with baby Lalie on board.
More top-level wheelchair tennis
The French Open wheelchair championships here at Roland Garros will be followed by the 28th BNP Paribas Open from 25 – 30 June, featuring top 12 men and top 6 women in the world. Roland Garros and adidas keep on keeping on
You should never change a winning team, and Jean Gachassin and Alain Pourcelot certainly agree. The FFT president and CEO of adidas Europe have taken the opportunity here at Roland Garros to extend their partnership from 2013 to 2015.
