The future Philippe-Chatrier court will be gifted a roof.

Tomorrow

For the future stadium project, the Place des Mousquetaires will undergo major expansion work. Spanning almost one hectare, the new esplanade will make it easier to move around the stadium during the French Open, especially as day matches give way to night matches.

The square will feature green areas and a giant screen where visitors will be able to watch matches broadcast during the tournament. The rest of the year, the square will be open to the public, like other Parisian parks, benefitting the entire neighbourhood.
